What Is An Endodontist?

An Endodontist is a specialist dentist with experience in treating the nerve/pulp of a tooth.

Unlike general dentists with special interests in root canal treatments, an Endodontist has undergone additional training at a university level to achieve specialist recognition with the Dental Board of Australia.

The pathway towards becoming a specialist Endodontist begins with an initial qualification and multiple years of experience as a general dentist. Additional post-graduate dental achievements in research and teaching are often required to secure a coveted training position in the Endodontic training program, and finally three additional years of rigorous training solely in the field of Endodontics.

Our Endodontist restricts his practice solely to procedures involving the pulp of teeth and management of traumatic dental injuries.
